The House Committee on Health and Human Resources moved to amend the bill on page 4, section 13a, line 87 by striking subsection (g) and inserting in lieu thereof a new subsection (g) to read as follows:
“(g) Prescribing Limitation.--
(1) A physician or podiatrist may not prescribe a narcotic listed in Schedules II through V of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.
(2) A physician or podiatrist may not prescribe any pain-relieving controlled substance listed in Schedules II through V of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act as part of a course of treatment for chronic nonmalignant pain solely based upon a telemedicine encounter.
And,
On page 4, section 12d, line 84 by striking subsection (g) and inserting in lieu thereof a new subsection (g) to read as follows:
(g) Prescribing Limitation.--
(1) A physician may not prescribe a narcotic listed in Schedules II through V of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.
(2) A physician may not prescribe any pain-relieving controlled substance listed in Schedules II through V of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act as part of a course of treatment for chronic nonmalignant pain solely based upon a telemedicine encounter.”
